We've made over 72,000 records from the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) available to explore online for the first time this week. These offer insight into key historical moments, including the society's founding in a Covent Garden coffee house in 1754.
We've also added British 'In Memoriam' notice records spanning 212 years, as well as a duo of scholastic newspaper titles to celebrate the new school year. We updated 53 of our existing publications, with new pages from Belfast to Bolton.
There are 72,873 fascinating images and transcriptions to discover within this new set, recounting a key period in the RSA's history between 1754 and 1856.
You'll recognise a few famous names within these records, including Charles Darwin, American statesman Benjamin Franklin and more...
We also added 1,258 British In Memoriam notices this week. These new additions span 1783 to 1995.
To welcome the new academic year, we've added the Educational Times and the Woman Teacher to our newspaper archive, amongst a total of 258,481 new pages.
